Short Description: Confirms you are 18 or older (or a parent/guardian) and accept full responsibility for your FundedYouth account, including community standards, billing, and data privacy.

1. What Is This Agreement?

FundedYouth Academy (“FundedYouth”) is a nonprofit organization that teaches kids and teens about Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Math (STEAM) through hands-on projects in our makerspace.

This is the Adult Terms of Service Agreement. It applies to anyone who is 18 years old or older, including parents and guardians who create or manage an account. By signing this agreement, you are saying you have read it, understand it, and agree to follow the rules listed here.

This agreement must be signed before you can use any part of the FundedYouth Portal.

2. Who Needs to Sign This?

This agreement must be signed by:

Any person 18 years of age or older who creates a FundedYouth account for themselves.
Any parent or guardian who creates or manages an account on behalf of a minor (someone under 18).

If you are under 18, you do not sign this agreement — your parent or guardian does.

3. Account Responsibility

You are responsible for everything that happens on your account. This means:

Keep your password safe. Do not share your login information with anyone.
Keep your PIN safe. Your PIN is used for quick access at the makerspace. Do not give it to other people.
Tell us right away if you think someone else is using your account without your permission.

If someone else uses your account because you shared your password or left it logged in, you are still responsible for what happens.

4. Community Standards

FundedYouth is a place where everyone should feel safe and welcome. By signing this agreement, you agree to:

Treat everyone with respect — students, volunteers, instructors, and staff.
Follow the rules of the makerspace and any specific rules for classes, workshops, and events.
Not use FundedYouth resources, tools, or services for anything illegal, harmful, or disruptive.
Not bully, harass, or discriminate against anyone for any reason.

If you break these rules, FundedYouth may suspend or close your account.

5. Billing and Payments

If you sign up for any paid service — like a subscription, credit pack, or add-on — you agree to the following:

You will be charged based on the plan or item you selected. All prices are shown before you confirm.
All payments are in U.S. dollars and are processed through a secure, third-party payment processor.
FundedYouth does not store your full payment details. Your card information is handled by the payment processor, not by us.
Refund requests must be submitted within 14 days of the transaction date. Refunds are reviewed on a case-by-case basis.
If you are a parent or guardian, you are responsible for all charges made through your account or your child’s account.

If you see a charge you did not make, contact a FundedYouth administrator right away.

6. Your Data and Privacy

FundedYouth takes your privacy seriously. Here is how we handle your information:

We collect only what we need — your name, email, date of birth, and (for minors) parent/guardian contact information.
Your information is stored securely using encryption and access controls.
We do not sell your data to anyone. Ever.
You can ask to see your data at any time. Just contact a FundedYouth administrator.
You can ask us to delete your data at any time. We will remove your personal information from our systems, though some records (like signed agreements) may be kept for legal purposes.

If you are a parent or guardian, you can request access to or deletion of your child’s data as well.

If you originally signed up as a minor with parental consent and have now turned 18:

This agreement replaces any prior parental consent that was on your account.
You may remove your parent or guardian’s information from your profile at any time through the portal.
Once removed, your parent or guardian will no longer receive notifications or have access to your account.

This is your choice. You are not required to remove their information if you prefer to keep it.

8. What FundedYouth Can Do

FundedYouth reserves the right to:

Suspend or close your account if you break these rules or any other FundedYouth agreement.
Change these terms at any time. If something important changes, you will be notified through the portal. If you continue using the portal after being notified, that means you accept the changes.
Remove content or access if it violates community standards or puts others at risk.
Contact you by email for important account updates, billing information, or policy changes.

9. Limitation of Liability

FundedYouth Academy is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. While we do our best to provide a safe and reliable platform:

FundedYouth is not responsible for any loss of data, credits, or access caused by technical issues, outages, or circumstances beyond our control.
FundedYouth is not liable for injuries or damages that occur during in-person events, classes, or use of makerspace equipment. Participants use equipment at their own risk and must follow all posted safety guidelines.
By using the portal and attending events, you agree to hold FundedYouth harmless from claims arising from your use of our services.

10. I Agree

By signing this agreement through the FundedYouth Portal, I am saying:

This agreement is signed electronically through the FundedYouth Portal. Your name, email, and date are stored securely.
