1. Who Needs to Sign This?
Section titled “1. Who Needs to Sign This?”This agreement must be signed by:
- Any person 18 years of age or older who creates a FundedYouth account for themselves.
- Any parent or guardian who creates or manages an account on behalf of a minor (someone under 18).
By signing this agreement, you are confirming that you are either 18+ and responsible for your own account, or you are a parent/guardian responsible for a minor’s account and all activity on it.
2. When You Turn 18
Section titled “2. When You Turn 18”If you originally signed up as a minor with parental consent and have now turned 18:
- This agreement replaces any prior parental consent that was on your account.
- You become solely responsible for your account, all activity, and any charges.
- You may remove your parent or guardian’s information from your profile at any time through the portal.
- Once removed, your parent or guardian will no longer receive notifications or have access to your account.
- This is your choice. You are not required to remove their information if you prefer to keep it.
3. Limitation of Liability
Section titled “3. Limitation of Liability”FundedYouth Academy is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. While we do our best to provide a safe and reliable platform:
- FundedYouth is not responsible for any loss of data, credits, or access caused by technical issues, outages, or circumstances beyond our control.
- FundedYouth is not liable for injuries, damages, or losses that occur during in-person events, classes, or use of makerspace equipment. Participants use equipment at their own risk and must follow all posted safety guidelines and staff instructions.
- By using the portal and attending events, you agree to hold FundedYouth harmless from claims arising from your use of our services, including personal injury or property damage.
4. I Agree
Section titled “4. I Agree”By signing this agreement through the FundedYouth Portal, I am saying:
- I am 18 years of age or older, or I am a parent/guardian signing on behalf of a minor.
- I have read and understand this entire Adult Terms of Service Agreement.
- I accept full responsibility for my FundedYouth account and all activity on it.
- I understand that if I originally had parental consent, this agreement replaces it.
- I understand how FundedYouth handles liability and that I use the portal and equipment at my own risk.
- I understand FundedYouth Academy is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit (EIN: 93-4090260).
This agreement is signed electronically through the FundedYouth Portal. Your name, email, and date are stored securely.
