Subscriptions
The Subscriptions section is where you manage everything related to your membership — your plan, credits, add-ons, and wallet.
Getting Access
Section titled “Getting Access”Before you can see the Subscriptions menu, you need to sign the Portal Member Agreement — when signed with Membership access, it unlocks Subscriptions, Sessions, and Billing.
This agreement explains:
- How the credit system works
- What happens when you cancel or don’t show up to a session
- That credits are not money — they can’t be traded, sold, or refunded for cash
- The rules for using your membership

Grade-Based Requirements
Section titled “Grade-Based Requirements”| Grade | What You Need |
|---|---|
| Grade 8–12, Adult, or Other | Sign the agreement yourself. You are responsible for buying credit packs and managing your membership. |
| Grade K–7 | Your parent or guardian signs on your behalf and manages all credit-pack purchases. They must be with you at all times at FundedYouth locations. |
How It All Connects
Section titled “How It All Connects”Before diving into each page, here’s how the Subscriptions section connects to the rest of the portal:
| Section | What It Does | How It’s Paid |
|---|---|---|
| Subscriptions > Credit Packs | Buy credits to add to your wallet | Real money — one-time Stripe purchase or monthly subscription |
| Subscriptions > Plans | Activate a membership plan | Credits — deducted from your wallet each month |
| Subscriptions > Add-ons | Add monthly perks to your membership | Credits — deducted from your wallet each month, or free if bundled with your plan |
| Subscriptions > Wallet | See your credit balance and history | This is where your credits live |
| Sessions > Browse Events | Find and register for classes | Credits — deducted when you register |
| Student > My Courses | Enroll in courses (tracking only) | Free — enrolling never costs credits |
This is where you activate a membership plan. Memberships are paid in credits, not dollars — every month, the plan’s monthly cost is automatically deducted from your wallet.
Choosing a Plan
Section titled “Choosing a Plan”When you don’t have a membership yet, you’ll see all available plans:
Each plan shows:
- Plan name and description
- Monthly cost in credits (e.g., 10 credits / month)
- What’s included — some plans come with bundled add-ons at no extra cost
- Subscribe button to activate
Some admins may also display a reference dollar value alongside the credit cost — this is shown only when the admin chooses to enable it. You are never charged in dollars to activate a plan.
How Activation Works
Section titled “How Activation Works”When you click Subscribe, a confirmation modal appears summarizing:
- The plan you’re activating
- The credit cost for the first month (deducted immediately from your wallet)
- Your wallet balance before and after the deduction
- An acknowledgment checkbox confirming you understand credits will be deducted now and again each month
After confirming, the credits are deducted from your wallet, your membership is activated, and any bundled add-ons included with the plan are turned on automatically — at no extra cost.
Your Active Membership
Section titled “Your Active Membership”Once subscribed, your plan page updates to show your current membership:
Your membership card shows:
- Plan name and monthly credit cost
- Status badge — your current membership state (top-right corner)
- Member Since — when your membership began
- Current Period — the dates your current month covers
- Next Renewal — when the next monthly credit deduction will run
- Cancel Membership — link to cancel (see below)
Membership Status
Section titled “Membership Status”Your membership can be in one of these states:
Active — Everything is working. Each month the plan’s credit cost is deducted from your wallet, you can spend credits, and you can register for sessions.
Frozen — Your membership is temporarily paused by an admin. Your credits are safe and the monthly credit deduction is paused until an admin unfreezes you.
Lapsed — A monthly renewal couldn’t deduct credits because your wallet balance was too low. Your wallet is frozen and you have a grace period (usually 90 days) to top up and reactivate before any remaining credits are removed.
Cancelled — Your membership has been permanently ended. Your wallet is frozen and any bundled add-ons are cancelled.
Cancelling Your Membership
Section titled “Cancelling Your Membership”You can cancel your membership at any time by clicking the Cancel button. Before cancelling, the portal will warn you:
What happens when you cancel:
- Your membership stays active until the end of the current billing period
- After that, your wallet is frozen — you can’t spend credits
- Any add-ons and credit packs that came bundled with your plan are also cancelled
- You have a grace period (usually 90 days) to reactivate before your credits are permanently removed
Credit Packs
Section titled “Credit Packs”Credit packs are the only thing on the portal that you buy with real money. You purchase a pack via Stripe Checkout, and the credits are added to your wallet. From there, those credits are what pay for your membership, add-ons, and session registrations.
Credit packs come in two flavors:
- One-Time Packs — Pay once, credits drop into your wallet immediately, no recurring charge.
- Monthly Packs — Subscribe to a recurring pack. Stripe charges your card on the same day each month and the credits are automatically added to your wallet on each successful payment. Cancel anytime.
We don’t store your card information — Stripe handles all payment processing. Card numbers, expiration dates, and CVCs go directly to Stripe (a PCI-compliant payment processor) and are never seen or stored on FundedYouth’s servers. For monthly subscriptions, Stripe keeps your card on file in their PCI-compliant vault so they can charge your renewal each month; you can cancel anytime from your portal.
Browsing Credit Packs
Section titled “Browsing Credit Packs”The page groups packs into One-Time Packs and Monthly Packs. Each card shows the pack name, a description, the dollar price, and how many credits you get:
| Detail | What It Means |
|---|---|
| Pack name | The name of the pack |
| Description | Details about the purchase, including the final-sale notice |
| Price | The dollar amount you’ll pay through Stripe (per month for monthly packs) |
| Credits | How many FYBIT credits will be added to your wallet (shown in teal) |
| Button | Buy for one-time packs, Subscribe for monthly packs |
Purchasing
Section titled “Purchasing”Click Buy (one-time) or Subscribe (monthly) to open the Stripe Checkout page. Stripe is a trusted PCI-compliant payment processor — your card details go directly to Stripe and are never stored or seen by FundedYouth. Before checkout, the portal shows a confirmation modal with:
- The pack name, dollar price, and credit amount
- For monthly packs, a note that it’s a recurring monthly subscription billed on the same day each month until you cancel
- A reminder that credits are non-refundable
- A required acknowledgment checkbox
After payment:
- One-time pack: credits are added to your wallet immediately and the purchase is recorded in your audit log.
- Monthly pack: credits are added immediately, the subscription is set up in Stripe, and credits will be added again automatically each month on your billing date when the renewal payment succeeds.
My Credit Packs
Section titled “My Credit Packs”Below the available packs, you’ll see a table of every credit pack you’ve purchased or subscribed to:
| PACK | CREDITS | TYPE | DATE | STATUS |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Learner Pack | 200 | ONE-TIME | Mar 18, 2026 | PURCHASED |
Each row shows the pack name, the credit amount, the type (One-Time or Monthly), the start date, and a status:
- One-time packs show as Purchased with no further action.
- Monthly packs show as Active with a Cancel link in the Actions column.
Cancelling a Monthly Credit Pack
Section titled “Cancelling a Monthly Credit Pack”To stop a monthly credit-pack subscription, go to Portal → Subscriptions → Credit Packs → My Credit Packs and click Cancel on the row for the pack you want to end. A confirmation modal appears:
What happens when you cancel:
- The subscription ends immediately — Stripe will not charge your card again.
- Credits already in your wallet stay yours (credits are non-refundable per the policy above).
- You can re-subscribe to the same or a different monthly pack anytime.
Add-ons
Section titled “Add-ons”Add-ons are extra monthly perks you can layer on top of your membership. They are paid the same way as your membership — a set number of credits is deducted from your wallet each month — and they require an active membership to subscribe.
Bundled Add-ons (Free with Your Plan)
Section titled “Bundled Add-ons (Free with Your Plan)”Some membership plans include certain add-ons at no extra cost. When you activate the plan, those add-ons are turned on automatically and shown with a 🎁 Included badge instead of a credit cost. Bundled add-ons:
- Are never charged in credits — even at monthly renewal
- Cannot be cancelled while the parent membership is active (cancel the membership instead)
- Are automatically removed if you cancel the parent membership
How Add-ons Work
Section titled “How Add-ons Work”Each add-on has a redemption type that determines how the perk works:
Always Active — The perk is always “on” as long as you’re subscribed. No action needed — you just have it.
Once Per Month — The perk can be used one time per billing period. An admin at FundedYouth marks it as used when you redeem it in person.
My Add-ons
Section titled “My Add-ons”If you have active add-ons, they appear in a table at the top of the page:
| ADD-ON | PRICE | TYPE | PERK | SINCE | STATUS | |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Monthly One Time Test | 🎁 Included | MONTHLY | ◷ Available | Mar 18, 2026 | ACTIVE | Cancel |
Each row shows:
| Column | What It Shows |
|---|---|
| Add-on | The name of the add-on you subscribed to |
| Price | The monthly credit cost, or 🎁 Included if bundled with your membership |
| Type | MONTHLY — all add-ons are monthly |
| Perk | Your perk status for the current billing period |
| Since | When the add-on was activated |
| Status | ACTIVE or CANCELLED |
| Cancel | A Cancel link (hidden for bundled add-ons) |
Perk Statuses
Section titled “Perk Statuses”The Perk column tells you whether your perk is available to use this month:
Available — You can redeem your perk this billing period
Used — You’ve already redeemed it — it resets on your next billing date
Always Active — The perk is always on, no redemption needed
Available Add-ons
Section titled “Available Add-ons”Below your active add-ons, you’ll see add-ons you can subscribe to separately:
Each card shows the add-on name, description, monthly credit cost, and a Subscribe button. Like memberships, admins may optionally show a reference dollar value, but the add-on is always paid in credits.
Click Subscribe to open a confirmation modal showing:
- The add-on you’re activating
- The first month’s credit cost (deducted now)
- Your wallet balance before and after the deduction
- An acknowledgment checkbox
After confirming, credits are deducted and the add-on is active.
Perk Redemption History
Section titled “Perk Redemption History”At the bottom of the page, a table shows every time one of your perks was redeemed: the date, which add-on, which admin marked it, and any notes the admin added.
Wallet
Section titled “Wallet”Your wallet is where all your credits live. Think of it like a bank account — credits go in when you buy them, and credits come out when you register for sessions.
Balance
Section titled “Balance”At the top, you’ll see your current credit balance — a large number showing how many credits you have available to spend:
If your wallet is frozen, a blue banner appears below the balance:
Transaction History
Section titled “Transaction History”Below your balance, you’ll see a list of every credit transaction — every time credits were added or removed from your wallet:
Each transaction shows:
| Detail | What It Shows |
|---|---|
| Icon | A green upward arrow for credits added, or a red downward arrow for credits removed |
| Type | What kind of transaction (see below) |
| Description | Details about what happened — which session, pack, or action |
| Amount | Credits added (+200) or removed (-40) |
| Date | When it happened |
Transaction Types
Section titled “Transaction Types”Pack Purchase — Credits added from a credit pack you bought
Membership Renewal — Monthly credit deduction for your active membership plan
Add-on Renewal — Monthly credit deduction for an active add-on (bundled add-ons are free and skipped)
Session Booking — Credits deducted when you registered for a session
No-Show Penalty — Credits taken away because you didn’t show up to a session
Adjustment — An admin manually added or removed credits
Discard — Credits removed because your membership was cancelled past the grace period
Refund — Credits returned because you cancelled a session registration
Important Things About Your Wallet
Section titled “Important Things About Your Wallet”- Your balance can go below zero. If you get a no-show penalty and don’t have enough credits, your balance will drop into the negatives. You’ll need to buy more credits to bring it back up.
- Frozen wallets can’t spend. If your membership is frozen, lapsed, or cancelled, you can’t register for sessions — even if you have credits.
- Credits are not money. You can’t trade them for cash, give them to someone else, or use them outside of FundedYouth.
- Credits can expire. If your membership is cancelled and the grace period passes (usually 90 days), any remaining credits may be permanently removed.
Bundled Benefits
Section titled “Bundled Benefits”Some membership plans come with bundled add-ons included at no extra cost. When you activate one of these plans:
- Bundled add-ons are automatically turned on — you don’t need to subscribe to them separately
- Bundled add-ons are never charged in credits, even at monthly renewal — they show 🎁 Included instead of a credit cost
- The Cancel link is hidden on bundled add-ons; if you cancel the parent membership, the bundled add-ons are cancelled with it
You can see what’s included in each plan on the Plans page before you activate it.
